Operation Bake A Cake!

I know from firsthand experience how hard a deployment is on not only the soldier, but to also the families on the homefront. A deployed soldier will miss special milestones such as a spouse's, or child's birthday, an anniversary, or some other special event. While my own husband was deployed I offered to create special cakes for the members of his unit that were also deployed, for their families back home as my gift to them. It was the least I could do for them.

For any deployed soldier from within an hour, or so of Des Moines,Iowa, please contact me if you would like for me to create a special cake for your child's birthday, your anniversary, a spouse's, or significant other's birthday, or just one to show them you are thinking about them. I almost wanted to keep this cake for myself since I am a Twilight fanatic! Chocolate Heaven cake in the shape of the Eclipse book. I also added fondant elements from the other book covers.

Princess storybook cake for a 1st birthday

Here is a princess cake for a precious little girl for her 1st birthday. I am a sucker for anything princess so this cake was an absolute blast! Half white, half chocolate heaven cake carved into an open book shape. It's covered in fondant with fondant details. Hanpainted details painted with gold luster dust. Happy Birthday Ke' Asia!!!
