Arika and Matt's wedding cake

Here's another couple who had a destination wedding and just had their reception here in Des Moines. The bride requested a simple and elegant cake to be covered with a cascade of real stargazer lilies. The 4 tiered square cake is a mixture of white and chocolate.

This was another fun wedding cake to do. The bride and groom had a destination wedding last year in Jamaica and just had their reception on Aug. 7th. Top tier is strawberry patch with cream cheese filling, middle tier is champagne with raspberry mousse, and bottom is amaretto divine with chocolate cherry ganache filling. All flowers are gumpaste and were made to match the bride's gerbera daisies.

Rough few weeks

I would like to thank my clients who have been so understanding and supportive these past few weeks. While I was on vacation back home in Kentucky to visit family, my 21 year old nephew was involved in a terrible accident where he was struck by a car and lost his left leg. I spent several weeks down in Kentucky in July and also August. I've tried to answer all emails and phone calls as I could. So, if you didn't hear from me, please accept my apologies.
